Nariman Narimanov, intellectual, politician and, above all, Azerbaijani patriot. This book overcomes the ideological bias of the Soviet era and finally does justice to this figure, underlining the essential role he played in safeguarding and developing the Azerbaijani nation.<\/p>\n

THE BOOK:<\/strong> This innovative biography finally allows the Italian public to get to know Nariman Narimanov, one of the most important figures of Azerbaijan of the XX century. He made an essential contribution to the creation of the Azerbaijani state within the USSR and his figure was widely celebrated in Soviet times. But then it was necessary to emphasize his adherence to the communist ideal. Behind the ideological cortex, however, Narimanov was essentially a patriot, who fought for his country and his people. This work highlights the key-role of the protagonist in safeguarding the Azerbaijani identity. Not only did Narimanov struggle to maintain and expand the sphere of autonomy of the Azerbaijani federal state, but he also promoted the spread of the Azerbaijani language and culture, entering often into conflict with Moscow. A decree by President Aliyev has finally done justice to his memory, proclaiming 2020 the year of Narimanov and definitively inscribing this character in the pantheon of national heroes of Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

Hasan Hasanov<\/strong> was born in Tbilisi in 1940 in a working class family. In 1967 he began his career within the Communist Party of Azerbaijan which culminated, in 1990, with the office of President of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Azerbaijan. In 1991 he became the first Prime Minister of the independent Republic of Azerbaijan, which was formed after the fall of the USSR. In 1993 he was Permanent Representative to the United Nations. From 1993 to 1998 he was Foreign Minister. From 2004 to 2010 he was ambassador in Budapest.<\/p>\n

Il presente libro, superando le incrostazione ideologiche dell\u2019era sovietica, giunge finalmente a rendere giustizia a questo personaggio, sottolineando il ruolo essenziale da lui svolto nella salvaguardia e nello sviluppo della nazione azerbaigiana.<\/p>

IL LIBRO:<\/strong> Questa innovativa biografia permette finalmente al pubblico italiano di conoscere la figura di Nariman Narimanov, uno dei personaggi pi\u00f9 importanti dell\u2019Azerbaigian del XX secolo. Egli diede un contributo essenziale alla creazione dello stato azerbaigiano all\u2019interno dell\u2019Urss e la sua figura \u00e8 stata ampiamente celebrata in epoca sovietica. Ma allora era necessario sottolineare la sua adesione all\u2019ideale comunista. Dietro la corteccia ideologica, tuttavia, Narimanov era essenzialmente un patriota, che si \u00e8 battuto per il suo Paese e il suo popolo. \u00c8 questa componente che viene sottolineata dalla presente opera, che evidenzia il ruolo fondamentale del protagonista nella salvaguardia dell\u2019identit\u00e0 azerbaigiana. Hasan Hasanov<\/strong> Nasce a Tblisi nel 1940 in una famiglia operaia. Nel 1967 comincia la sua carriera all\u2019interno del Partito comunista dell\u2019Azerbaigian che culminer\u00e0, nel 1990, con la carica di Presidente del Consiglio dei ministri della Repubblica socialista sovietica di Azerbaigian. Nel 1991 diviene il primo Primo ministro della Repubblica indipendente di Azerbaigian, costituitasi dopo la caduta dell\u2019Urss. Nel 1993 \u00e8 Rappresentante permanente presso le Nazioni Unite. Dal 1993 al 1998 \u00e8 Ministro degli Esteri. Dal 2004 a 2010 \u00e8 ambasciatore a Budapest.<\/p>
