THE BOOK:<\/strong> Born from a research project, the novel reconstructs the story of a sensational theft of art committed in Budapest in 1983 by a gang of Italians from Reggio Emilia. The wound inflicted on the totalitarian regime and the temerity of the perpetrators of the theft have made this daring story, which greatly embarrassed the Hungarian president J\u00e1nos K\u00e1d\u00e1r, unique. Through the reconstruction of the investigative phases and the direct testimonies of the protagonists, the dynamics that prompted those young criminals to carry out this apparently isolated action are revealed. Forty years later, however, an incredible intertwining of different but converging interests opens up a scenario that was previously unthinkable. What emerges is a fresco of international crime permeated with politics, services and malfeasance that will enrich the pages of Italian and international history.<\/p>\n

Gilberto Martinelli <\/strong> (Rome, 1969) He deals with international relations, in particular, between Italy and Hungary. Among the various awards, in 2014 he was awarded the HUNGARIAN PRO CULTURE by the Republic of Hungary for shedding light on the historical relations between the two nations. He is considered one of the most qualified Italian sound engineers, especially in the cinematographic field, where he is very well known.<\/p>\n

Roberto Tempesta<\/strong> (Roma, 1953) He enlisted in the carabinieri at a young age. In 1981, after a period in the Special Operational Departments, he joined the Cultural Heritage Protection Unit, where he played an essential role in the most important cases of recovery of works of art both in Italy and abroad. He has been awarded numerous honors, and received international recognition.<\/p>\n

IL LIBRO:<\/strong> Nato da un progetto di ricerca, il romanzo ricostruisce la storia di un clamoroso furto d\u2019arte compiuto a Budapest nel 1983 da una banda di italiani di Reggio Emilia. La ferita inferta al regime totalitario e la temerariet\u00e0 degli autori del furto hanno reso unica questa storia rocambolesca che mise in grave imbarazzo il presidente ungherese J\u00e1nos K\u00e1d\u00e1r. Attraverso la ricostruzione delle fasi investigative e le testimonianze dirette dei protagonisti si svelano le dinamiche che hanno spinto quei giovani criminali a compiere questa azione apparentemente isolata. A distanza di quarant\u2019anni, per\u00f2, un incredibile intreccio di interessi diversi, ma convergenti, apre uno scenario fino a oggi impensabile. Ne emerge un affresco del crimine internazionale permeato di politica, servizi e malaffare che andr\u00e0 ad arricchire le pagine della storia italiana e internazionale.<\/p>

Gilberto Martinelli <\/strong> (Roma, 1969) Si occupa di relazioni internazionali, in particolare, tra l\u2019Italia e l\u2019Ungheria. Tra i vari riconoscimenti, nel 2014 \u00e8 stato insignito del PRO CULTURA HUNGARICA dalla Repubblica d\u2019Ungheria per aver fatto luce nei rapporti storici tra le due nazioni. \u00c8 considerato uno dei pi\u00f9 qualificati tecnici del suono italiani, soprattutto in ambito cinematografico, dove \u00e8 molto conosciuto.<\/p>

Roberto Tempesta<\/strong> (Roma, 1953) Si arruola nei carabinieri in giovane et\u00e0. Nel 1981, dopo una parentesi nei Reparti Operativi Speciali, si specializza e entra a far parte del Nucleo Tutela Patrimonio Culturale, dove svolge un ruolo essenziale nei pi\u00f9 importanti casi di recupero di opere d\u2019arte sia in Italia che all\u2019estero. E\u2019 stato insignito di numerose onorificenze, e ricevuto riconoscimenti internazionali.<\/p>
